Hosted by the National Reentry Resource Center, with funding support from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance
This two-part webinar series is related to the National Reentry Resource Center’s recently released white paper and issue brief on reducing recidivism and improving outcomes for youth under the supervision of the juvenile justice system. These webinars are for juvenile corrections, probation and parole staff, policymakers, judges and court practitioners, researchers, advocates, and other key stakeholders.
The first webinar in the series highlights key recommendations from the white paper, Core Principles for Reducing Recidivism and Improving Other Outcomes for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System. Participants will learn about the four principles that must undergird any strategy to reduce recidivism and improve outcomes for youth in the juvenile justice system. Participants will also learn how to implement the principles effectively, and hear about how some state and local juvenile justice systems have operationalized the principles in practice.
Date: Thursday, September 4
